Peptides for Olympic victories

The Olympic Games are a fair fight for the right to become the best, to take a place on the Olympic pedestal and one’s name in the history of world sports. Unfortunately, athletes do not always choose an honest way to achieve victory, and the number of doping scandals does not decrease year by year. On the eve of the opening of the XXII Winter Olympic Games, one of the information telecasts described the modern doping control laboratory that was opened in Sochi. According to the Ministry of Sports, it is one of the best anti-doping laboratories in the world. There was a phrase in the report that it is able to detect the presence of hidden short-chain peptides in the blood. According to the authors, they are ”the most scandalous type of doping causing to the maximum number of disqualifications among athletes recently”.

After this report, the NPCRIZ began to receive questions, such as: “The composition of peptide bioregulators includes short peptides, so they are doping and their effect is similar to some hormones!?” The answer is clear – no. Peptide bioregulators are not doping and do not have a hormone-like effect. And now let’s look at this in more detail. The Medical Code of the International Olympic Committee includes the following in the list of prohibited classes of substances: stimulants (amphetamines, cocaine, ephedrine, etc.), drugs, anabolic substances (testosterone, methandienone, salbutamol, etc.), diuretics (furosemide, mercalil, etc.), peptide and glycoprotein hormones and their analogues. The last category includes hormones: chorionic gonadotropin, corticotropin, growth hormone somatotropin, erythropoietin. At this stage, it is very important to understand that we are not talking about peptides, but about peptide-like hormones, hormones of the protein-peptide structure, which actually contain amino acid residues.

It is these substances which are a hidden dope, because they artificially increase physical activity and endurance, increase muscle strength, stimulate activity of the nervous and endocrine systems, with an injection to a healthy person or athlete whose synthesis of endogenous hormones is within the limits of physiological norms. As a result of this emergency stimulation, the athlete is able to show higher results in sports competitions. But at this point we cannot talk about honest results. The Sport of records does not accept doping. Its philosophy, according to the Olympic Charter, is “blending sport with culture and education, seeking to create a way of life based on the joy of effort, the educational value of good example, social responsibility and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.”

Doping with peptide-like hormones is especially dangerous for human life and health. It “shatters” the endocrine system and disrupts the hormonal status of the body, leads to imbalance in the functioning of all organs and systems and is capable of provoking the development of severe diseases. For example, an injection in high doses of growth hormone (somatotropin) can trigger the onset of cardiomyopathy, hypertension, diabetes, acromegaly, and a progressive degenerative disease of the nervous system – the Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease. Also, peptide-like hormones include all the hormones of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, insulin and glucagon secreted by the pancreas. There are also a number of restrictions on its usage by athletes.

As for peptide bioregulators, their composition, in fact, includes short peptides. Peptide bioregulators belong to the group of peptide organotropic preparations of bioregulatory action. In contrast to peptide-like hormones, they do not have the effect of the body’s physiological processes emergency stimulating, which affect the temporary increase in its resources, do not stimulate the growth of muscle mass, and, accordingly, are not doping. They do not have any side effects also. Their objective is to normalize the functions of various human organs and systems to physiologically optimal values and to support their work in a healthy body for a long time. That is, if a person does not produce any endogenous hormones in the required amount, peptide bioregulators normalize the work of the organs to the point where they can normally produce specific hormones. There can be no effect of excessive or insufficient production of hormones. Bioregulatory preparations of natural origin do not allow to reach peak values in the functioning of organs and systems.

Peptide bioregulators are not hormones and do not play the role of preparations for hormone replacement therapy. Explicit substitution of concepts and use of the term “short chain peptides” instead of “peptide-like hormones, steroid hormones” today are purposefully used by manufacturers of preparations for sports in order to achieve certain commercial goals. The substitution of concepts for the existence of prohibitions on the use of doping components in the manufacture of sports medications in some cases makes it possible to circumvent the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Another conclusive evidence that short peptides have nothing to do with doping is that they are taken by athletes of the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team, which has repeatedly gained wins at the Summer Olympics (2000, 2004, 2008, 2012), European and World Championships. Irina Viner, president of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics, head coach of the Russian national team, honored coach of Russia, vice president of the Technical Gymnastics Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation, has repeatedly said in interviews that “peptides are substances that lack chemistry, which means, there is no doping, and there are no prohibited preparations. Research

What are peptides?

Since ancient times, scientists have tried to understand the causes of aging. Naturally, a human has a life span of 110-120 years. Aging begins gradually: first begins to decrease the rate of biochemical reactions, reduce the functions of the brain, heart, liver, etc. And already when there are symptoms, i.e. the appearance of wrinkles, graying, problems with joints, this is the consequences.

Life exists thanks to two molecules: DNA, which is a matrix and itself is not active; and molecules of peptides which activate the necessary parts of DNA. When peptides are combined with a particular part of DNA, i.e. with a gene site, a synthesis of specific proteins occurs, life begins.

Peptides are very short fragments of proteins. They have a size of only 1 nm, so they are rightly considered to be part of the Nanoworld. As is known, proteins consist of amino acids, as a chain of links and are of different lengths: long – having dozens of amino acids and short ones – having from 2 to 20 links. These are the peptides. In the body, peptides are “information” key-keepers, they open information in strictly appropriate cells so that everything is done on time and well in the body.

Cells produce certain types of proteins. A number of them are involved in the production of peptides that regulate cell function. The cell works well, accordingly the whole organ works well. If the failure occurs, then the work of the whole organ is disrupted, this leads to diseases. Of course, one can treat diseases, inject missing substances into the body, but then the cell will become completely depleted and stop working. Therefore it is necessary to send couriers with keys – peptides, they will make it work, the body will heal itself. In each organ, there is a stock of reserve stem cells. Their work is also influenced by peptides. If this stock is evenly spent, then the person lives up to 100-110 years.

All peptides have their own niche specialization. Only specific peptides are suitable for each tissue: for the lungs – pulmonary, for the liver – hepatic, for the brain – cerebral. Peptides are the same in all mammals. Therefore, if we take the peptides from the calf and inject them to humans, our body will accept it as a native. The main problem was to learn how to isolate peptides from the organs of animals. And this technology was invented in 1971 by Vladimir Khavinson and Vyacheslav Morozov at the Military Medical Academy.

Medicines were created, and then they were used as a basis for dietary supplements, because they are easy to use.

Studying the aging processes and ways of influencing it, the experts of the Institute of Gerontology in St. Petersburg came to the conclusion that including peptides in the diet of the experimental group of mice, increases their life span by 30-38%.

Later. peptide research was conducted on the elderly in the Kiev Institute of Gerontology and in St. Petersburg. This contributed to a nearly twofold decrease of mortality, which indicated a high geroprotective activity of peptides.

Thus, in the second half of the 20th century, a new bioregulation technology was developed in Russia. And no one in the world still has similar preparations.

The discovery of peptide regulators is equivalent to the launch of Sputnik. The fact that the aging and diseases, including tumors, are caused by disturbances in the regulation of protein synthesis was 40 times confirmed by experiments.

During the experiments, frog eggs were taken and one of several preparations dripped and the one that dripped caused the growth of the corresponding tissue: for example, if a peptide of the liver was dripping, hepatic tissue began to grow.

The application efficiency averaged 75-95%.

Cell resource of the body: What is it and how to support it?

A cellular resource is called functional, healthy cells of the body, carrying store of energy. With age, cells cease to divide, grow and replenish energy reserves, so the cellular resource is depleted and old age comes. Estimation of cellular resource of the body can only be done when assessing the performance of cells by their functions.

Existence and vital activity of cells

A man is born with a certain number of healthy, functional cells that have vital energy, or in other words with a specific cellular resource. During the life, cells grow, divide and multiply.
